Catherine Nora (Farley) Moriarty

Moriarty, Catherine ( Retired Registered Nurse St. Joseph’s Hospital Class of 1953), At Peterborough Regional Health Centre after a brief illness on Monday, March 19, 2018 in her 88th year. Catherine, beloved wife of 51 years to the late Harold Moriarty (d. 2009). Loving and devoted mother of John (Laurie), Michael (Florence), Patrick (Marnie) and cherished Grandmother of Derek, Eli, Oliver, Jacob, Jackson, Kieran, and Ellika.  Dear sister of Rev. Sr. Elizabeth Farley (Sisters of the Precious Blood), Roy Farley (Teresa, predeceased), and predeceased by her brothers Frank Farley (Donnie), Patrick (Irma), and sister Alma Kennedy (Joe, predeceased). Lovingly remembered by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  Daughter of the late Stanley Farley and Elizabeth Cavanagh. Nursing took Catherine to many different places, Santa Monica, Brockville, Ottawa, and Smith Falls. She trained and spent the last 50 years of her working career at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Peterborough. She loved all aspects of Nursing. Catherine was a lifelong CWL Member and loved her faith. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road, on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass in St. Joseph’s Church, Douro, on Thursday, March 22nd at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery followed by a reception in St. Joseph’s Parish Hall.
