Peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Sunday, May 7, 2017 in his 75th year. Don, beloved husband of 52 years to Brenda (nee Staples). Loving and devoted father of Crystal Manley (Gary), and Craig (Nicole). Loving Grandfather of Emma; Tyler, Dani, Keegan, Makayla, and Brooke. Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Terry and Barry, and by his sister Margaret Kuipers. Brother-in-law to Derek Staples (Delma), Lynda Staples, and Marilyn Ferguson (David). Son of the late Gerald Blackwood and Corrine LaFave. Visitation at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road on Friday, May 12th, 2017 from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. followed a Funeral Service in the Highland Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment Rosemount Memorial Gardens followed by a reception in the Highland Park Reception Centre.
