So sorry for your loss of a great man. I am a coach at Holy Cross and had the pleasure (or not) of coaching against Don for girls and boys volleyball. He was always on speed dial if I needed any advice or a sounding board. He will be greatly missed by not only his colleagues at the schools he taught but by the ones he interacted with throughout his career. Don touched so many people's lives. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

We are very saddened to read of Don's passing and extend our sympathy to the McCrory family. After reading Don's obituary, his life portrays him as the role model that I as coach, and Shirley as a member of the cheering section with the rest of the McCrory family.
Don was an outstanding player, teammate, and friend. We remember him well in his youth and how he touched our lives.
We are unable to join you in celebrating Don's life but our thoughts and prayers will be with you.

So sorry to hear of Don's passing. We remember with pleasure his (and Joan's) efforts at Galilee Bible Camp. He was a hard worker and had a real heart for the children and their salvation. May you know the presence of the God of Comfort through this time. Due to our commitments, we cannot be there physically but we will be remembering you in prayer through this next tough few days.

Dear Joan & family,
We were saddened to hear from John & Susan of your loss. In 1980, Don came to Grace Christian Academy where we shared a memorable two years teaching our small group of high school students after which he became a worthy successor as principal. May the Lord be your strength during this difficult time now that Don is in His care & keeping. --David

I'm so very sorry I didn't get to know Don but I sure heard lots about him, especially his sports abilities, from his Dad, Emmett. We worked together at Revenue Canada for many years. Emmett was so very proud of all his children, but I especially remember Don as Emmett spoke about him many times. After reading of Don's many accomplishments in his obituary, I can understand why. Helen, I remember speaking to you many times and having to track Emmett down because he was off somewhere helping a junior auditor with a tax problem. That's the way Emmett was and obviously Don was a chip off the old block. God bless you and your family.

Hello Helen and family,

Cathie and I were deeply saddened to hear of Don's 'home call'.
We know this will be a difficult time for you and we are praying that the 'God of all Comfort' will be real to you. The Lord Jesus encourages us in times like these when He said, " Because I live, you shall live also". It is wonderful to know we shall see our loved ones in glory!
Love,
Bob and Cathie Cretney

I am so sorry to learn today of Don's passing. I really enjoyed getting to know Don as part of our subject council and as a team member for our sub committee for the Co-op Writer program. I admired his tech abilities and his passion for doing a great job. I last saw him on the sidelines of the volleyball court!
I didn't know, but am not surprised that Don was a Christian. As a fellow believer I am thrilled to know I will see him again some day!!! He had such a good and kind heart, quiet and gentle spirit and when he spoke, it meant something!! He has no doubt touched many young lives in a positive way.
May you, his family feel God's presence carrying you through this difficult time. May you find a strength and peace from knowing he is rejoicing with our savior in his heavenly home.
God Bless, Mary
