Frederick "Fred" Lawrence Smith

SMITH, Frederick Lawrence – Peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at Canterbury Gardens on Monday, June 5th, 2017 in his 87th year. Fred, beloved husband of the late Annie (nee Schroeder). Devoted father of Lynda Smith and Tom Smith (Victoria). Adored grandfather of Adam (Kristina), Erik, Amanda Lavin (Sean), Jessica Pallett (Dave Touchette) and Heather Pallett (James Waffle). Cherished great-grandfather of Andrew, Ryan, Ava, Benjamin, Sophie and Avery. Fred is survived by his sister Carol Dicker (Frank) and brother-in-law Doug Hogg. Predeceased by parents William and Florence (nee Bilton) Smith and sisters Ellen McGibbon (Bill), Phyllis Haggis (Bert), Jeanne Baxter (Jack) and Ethel Hogg. Fred will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and fondly remembered by all whose life he has touched. The family will receive friends at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road, on Saturday, June 10th, 2017 from 3:00 P.M. until time of Funeral Service at 4:00 P.M.
