Dear Barrett, Shannon, and Jack, I am deeply sorry for your loss of sweet Harrison. Such a beautiful, strong, intelligent boy. I am so grateful for the family, and with it the love, he had always surrounding him. I told my husband this week how I remember seeing you two walk into the medical centre, I was walking out after an appt. You were pregnant with Harrison and had peaceful smiles on your faces as you walked in, hand in hand. You hoped and dreamed for him from the beginning, as good parents do, to give him the best, and you did. I am so amazed and inspired at your strength. Please take care of yourselves. In love, Erin Bursey

Barrett, Shannon, baby Jack and extended family,
We have followed Harrison's life from the beginning from provinces away ... he has been in our thoughts and prayers since the day you announced he was sick . Even though we never got to meet him he Touched our lives and every body who knew his story. He's a great inspiration and the most beautiful baby boy. I can't imagine the road ahead for you but pray you can find peace. Your baby Harrison is an amazing warrior. Sending our love to you.

I am at a loss for words in the loss of beautiful Harrison. Prayers have been going up ever since Sue Smith told me of his illness. God has plans we cannot understand and one can only send up another prayer that now that his body is no longer in pain, his spirit can soar and he will always be Jack's guardian Angel. My sincerest condolences to the entire family. I live in California so will not be able to attend any services but Sue said she will bring me in SPIRIT!

Dear Shannon and Barrett, your brave little man is now resting with the angels after his long fight; what a superhero he has been. I have no doubt that, in time, Jack will understand what a fabulous big brother he has. I will always remember his fabulous spirit even though I met him only in the last days of his fight. He was truly blessed to have you as his parents - your love for him shone so brightly over his last few days - truly humbling for us all. I know you will give him the send-off and celebration of life that he so deserves. Thinking of you all, Noelle (SickKids Fellow)

My heart just breaks for you guys. So hard to believe that such a short time ago I was able to hold him on the very morning he was born, and I remember saying how much I loved his name!
I can't believe that I just saw you a few weeks ago walking in the hall at PRHC.... my thoughts and prayers are all for you. May peace and healing somehow find its way into your hearts and lives.
Much love,
Anne
