BROWN, Isabella Joanne (nee Pacey)

After a lengthy illness, and with family by her side, Isabella passed away at Fairhaven LTC, on Monday, January 22, 2018 at the age of 82.

She was the cherished wife of Elmer.  They met at a street dance and were still dancing 65 years later at their grandson’s wedding.

She was the beloved mother of Janice and Glen (Mary).  Doting grandmother “Nanny” of Joshua (Cara) and Jacob.  She was grateful for any opportunity to spend time with her grandsons whether in Peterborough or if it meant travelling to Victoria B.C., Kingston or Ottawa.  She was there for their first days of school, Christmas and holiday celebrations, birthday parties, and all sorts of other adventures.

She was the devoted daughter of the late Robert Pacey and Gladys (Covert).  She was a dear sister of Roy Pacey (Peggy) and Bill Pacey.  Predeceased by her sisters Audrey Storey and Gladys Hooey and her brothers Arthur, Albert, John, Lloyd, and Cameron Pacey.

Isabella was a dedicated and loyal wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend.  She tackled challenges and obstacles with tenacity and determination.  She had the gift of the gab and a smile that could light up a room.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
