Lillian "Jean" (McIntyre) Gill

GILL, Lillian “Jean”, passed away peacefully at Peterborough Extendicare with her niece Donna Prevost by her side on August 23, 2016. Jean was born in Peterborough June 10, 1927 and lived into her 90th year. Beloved daughter of George and Lillian McIntyre (nee Wedlock) and long time best friend of Grace Stewart who she missed each and every day, all of whom predeceased her. Also predeceased by husband Percy, brother-in-law John, sisters-in-law Ruth and Jean. Great friend of remaining sister-in-law Noreen. Jean was an only child though she had many cousins both on the McIntyre and Wedlock sides. Also loving aunt to Dennis, Ellyn, Donna, Peter, Andy, Jimmy, Joe, and Jenny. Great Aunt to many and great-great Aunt to a growing list.  Jean grew up on Sherbrooke Street attending PCVS, and once married moved to Wilson St. where she remained for 50 years before residing  2 years at Rubidge Retirement Home and 3 years at Extendicare. We extend a heart-felt thank you to all who cared for her and for all the love that was so obvious in her final days. Visitation will be held at HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road on Saturday, August 27th beginning at 2:00 p.m. followed by a Graveside Service in Highland Park Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Highland Reception Centre.
