Marilyn Carol Eleanor Ward

WARD, Marilyn Carol Eleanor (nee Hickman) – Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, July 22nd, 2016 in her 72nd year. Beloved wife of Edwin “Ed” for 52 years. Devoted mother of Jennifer Romard (Victor), David (Jaclyn) and the late Julie. Adored grandmother of Joseph, Katherine, Samuel, Danica, Kennedy and Carter. Cherished sister of Shirley Lowell (the late Ken) and sister-in-law of Patricia Mack. Predeceased by her parents George & Bessie Hickman. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Marilyn had a long distinguished career as a CIBC Manager and was an active member of CWL (St. Martin of Tours). Marilyn was a devoted Rosary Visitor for the Rosary Apostolate Program at St. Martin Elementary School in Ennismore. She delighted in teaching the Kindergarten children how to pray the Rosary, and was a warm and welcoming presence in the classroom. Marilyn will be sadly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her. Friends and family will be received at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road, on Tuesday, July 26th from 7:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. with Parish Prayers beginning at 6:45 P.M. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Martin’s Roman Catholic Church, 513 Ennis Road, Ennismore, on Wednesday, July 27th at 11:00 A.M. with a Reception to follow. In keeping with Marilyn’s wishes, cremation will follow and private inurnment will take place at Highland Park Cemetery at a later date.
