Marja introduced me to the game of Bridge twenty years or so ago & I am eternally grateful for her lessons and for her support & encouragement over the years. I miss her calls to come out & play. What a neat lady & beautiful woman. With appreciation & Sympathy.

So sorry to read of your mother's passing. I was an avid fan of your dad's a few decades back. I met your mom many times and she was always so sweet. My husband & I visited their farm a couple of times. On our second visit with our wee son in tow, we met their precious little girl. Your mom always made us feel so welcome and was such a good cook. I even have a photo of you & our boy taken that day. Happy times. I hope your good memories comfort you and keep your mom close. Sincerely, Karen

I am so sorry to hear of Marja's passing. I really enjoyed our chats about her homeland Finland, bridge accomplishments and her lavish lifestyle 'following the band'. She will be missed by many. My sincere condolences to Melodie.

Marja was a warm, caring and wonderful person. She was dedicated to her bridge students and club players. No one worked harder to promote bridge than Marja .She spent numerous hours calling people to set up partnerships. She will be greatly missed by all in the bridge world. My sincere condolences.

Truly sorry to hear about your mother's way too soon passing. I have never met you Melodie but your mother and I joked about being Baltic Babes, she from Finland I from Denmark. She was wonderful and will truly be missed.
