I was very sad to hear of Doug's passing. We went to school together many years ago and although we hadn't seen each other in years, it was fun to keep current and trade quips on Facebook. My sincere condolences to all Doug's family and friends.

To the Chambers Family,
I was so very saddened to hear of Doug’s sudden passing. These last few months I was fortunate enough to reconnect with Doug, as my Mum had been meeting him for coffee and I was asked to join them.
Doug had a way of looking at life that came from a man who had lived with some real highs and lows, which made him genuine. When he spoke about his family all living close by to he and Arlene, his face lit up. And those grandchildren were the love of his life.
Doug’s warm heart combined with his sense of humor really made him so easy to sit down with, and to catch up, even after so very many years of not seeing one another. I will miss our visits immensely.
My thoughts and prayers, are with the entire family.

Sincerely,

Suzi McGee

Sorry to hear of Doug's passing. Whether we were meeting or passing by each other, he always had a comment for me about what was topical in sports that day. We always had a laugh when we realized we had conversed with each other as well as had conversations in public before we put his hame to his face. Doug also spent years volunteering in various sports activities that helped make Peterborough a better sports community! RIP Doug!!

My most sincere condolences to all of Doug’s family at this very sad time.I first met Doug close to fourty years ago, he was such a gentle and kind man. Our paths crossed again a little over five years ago. I was delighted to encounter him again, he was still that gentle kind man and I looked forward to running into him at least two times a week. He will be truly missed by me and many others. He never complained about his health situation, he just remained grateful. R.I. P. My friend. Cathy Cavanagh.
