MATTHEWS, Sandra Jeanne (nee Shaw) – Peacefully at Extendicare Peterborough on Saturday, January 7th, 2017 in her 81st year from the loving arms of her family to those of her Lord and Saviour. Adored mother of daughters: Shelley Matthews (Dan Sullivan), Shari Auger (Rob) and Tracey Jackson (Steve). Loving grandmother of Kailey Wellman (Mark), Tianna Auger, Zach Auger, Rylan Auger (Carleigh), DeLaney Auger, Jaydon Auger, Daniel Sullivan, Braden Jackson and Caylie Jackson and great-grandmother of Eleanor and Calvin Auger. Cherished by sisters Sharon Nelson (Arthur) and Suzanne Shaw and brother Fred Shaw (Susan). Beloved aunt and great aunt to several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Fred and Zelda Shaw (Northey). Sandra will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family, friends and all who knew her. In keeping with Sandra’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road, on Friday, January 13th, 2017 from 7:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. A Memorial Service will be held at Auburn Bible Chapel, 911 Armour Road, on Saturday, January 14th, 2017 at 11:30 A.M. with visitation for an hour prior. Private family interment at Lakefield Cemetery. In memory of Sandra, donations to the Heart & Stoke Foundation or MSC Canada would be greatly appreciated.
