Peacefully with his family by his side at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, on Sunday, January 1, 2017 on his 65th birthday. Beloved husband of Carol (nee Stagg) for 42years. Loving father of Sherri Ricketts, Michael (Sarah Courtney) and Shawn (Luanne MacKenzie). Cherished grandfather of Mathew, Daniel, Sarah, Erik, Ethan, Robin, MacKenzie, Reese and Emily. Dear brother of Ron (Jackie), Debbie Gartner (Freddy) and the late Donna Doxtater. Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510, Bensfort Rd., Peterborough on Sunday from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at ST. MARTIN OF TOURS ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH , 513 Ennis Rd., Ennismore, Ontario on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Interment Little Lake Cemetery. Reception to follow at Highland Park Funeral Centre. In memory of Steve, donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Hospital for Sick Children or the Canadian Liver Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
