HOWE ,Vina (Vi) Joyce (Junkin)

October 19, 1931 - March 9, 2024

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our mother on March 9, 2024 at the age of 92. Vi was born in Bobcageon and raised on the Junkin family farm. She was married to her sweetheart, Robert (Bob) Howe for 60 years (predeceased in 2018). Vi is survived by her children Joanne (Robert) Tuck, Eric (Jules), Carolyn (Glenn), grandson Curtis Tuck and brother Ray Junkin (Norma).

Predeceased by her parents Flora and Ken Junkin, siblings Gerald, Lloyd, Claude and Muriel McCrea, as well as her son David Howe (1998).

Mom dedicated her life to raising her children. She loved to volunteer her time at the Civic Hospital, Blood Donor Clinics, Westdale United Church and Meals on Wheels.

Mom never forgot her farming roots and was happiest in the garden surrounded by her flowers and birds.

A Celebration of Life Reception will take place in Highland Park Funeral Centre on Saturday, April 27th from 2:00 to 4:00pm

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Hospice Peterborough is appreciated.

Her life was a living example of her favourite verse - Live, Love, Laugh.
