Peacefully on Friday, September 22, 2017 at the age of 87, Alvin was welcomed by the Lord.  Alvin was the beloved husband of Sarah Elizabeth “Marie” (nee Wright).  Loving father of Richard (Sandy Copland), Valerie Noland (Leslie) and Karen Allen (Robert).  Cherished grandfather of Lauren Walker (Brad), Leanne Theaker (Ian), Lucas Robb, Keith Noland, Mark Noland, Evan Noland, Courtney Campbell (Ryan), and Breanne Allen. Great grandfather of Hudson, Hadley, Landon and Mallow.  Predeceased by his brothers Donald Robb and Gordon Robb.  Lovingly remembered by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and his many nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Rd., Peterborough, on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM.  Funeral Service will be held at the FERNDALE BIBLE CHURCH 25  Ferndale Ave. Peterborough on Monday, September 25, 2017 at 11:00 AM.  Reception to follow in the Church Hall.  Interment Rosemount Memorial Gardens.  In memory of Alvin, donations to the Ferndale Bible Church or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.  Online condolences may be made at www.highlandparkfuneralcentre.com
