MATTHEWS, Amelia Maria Charlotte – Passed peacefully in the loving arms of her parents at The Hospital for Sick Children on Monday, July 2, 2018, on her 34th day. Amelia is lovingly remembered and forever cherished by her parents Laura Rellinger and Alex Matthews, her sister Juliana, her grandparents Paul and Mary Rellinger, and Bob and Charlotte Matthews, Great-Grandmother Rose Rellinger, Great-Nonna Assunta Cerqua, Uncle Paul and Aunt Olivia, Uncle Peter and Aunt Hillary, Uncle Andrew and Aunt Wendy, Uncle Lance and Aunt Angela, Uncle and Godfather Adriano (A.D.), Uncle Marcio and Uncle Mauricio, cousins Landon, Mia, Hudson, Alison and Katie, and Godmother Natalie Stoykoff. Laura and Alex extend their deepest gratitude to the hundreds of dear family members and friends who extended so many kindnesses since Amelia’s birth on Tuesday, May 29 at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Also a very special thank you to the doctors and nurses at both Sunnybrook and The Hospital for Sick Children whose professionalism and compassion was a source of tremendous comfort. Thank you as well to the staff and volunteers of Ronald McDonald House Toronto and Father Peter Conlin who baptized Amelia on Sunday, July 1. Visitation is Friday, July 6, 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m., at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road, Peterborough. The Funeral Mass is Saturday, July 7, 10:30 a.m., at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, 1066 Western Avenue, Peterborough.
