"Cis" was born in England in 1921 to Robert Smith and Edith Rawson. Her parents immigrated to Oshawa Ontario along with her sister Irene and brother Bob (deceased) who was born in Canada. Cis married Richard Maxwell "Max" Rockert in 1940 and together they had 3 children; Michael ( died at childbirth) Pat Davis and Cathy Tayler. Cis had 3 grandchildren; Ron(deceased), Lesley and Matthew and 2 great grandchildren; Madison and Austin. During the war, Cis drove a truck bringing supplies to Camp X and drove a truck building Hwy 401.Cis spent most of her life as a dressmaker and you could count on her to make a quilt or sweater on request. She enjoyed softball, curling and golfed up until she was 88years old. She will be sadly missed by all. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 28 from 11:00 A.M to 1:00 P.M at the Golden Plough Lodge Chapel, 983 Burnham St., Cobourg, On.
