Palmer, Dorothy Flora
Passed away suddenly at Fairhaven in her 90th year on Friday, March 2nd, 2018.
Dorothy, beloved wife of 64 years of the late Condell (Bud) Palmer, dear mother to Charmaine Butler, Murray and Brent and his wife Lori.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with family.
Lovingly remembered by her 6 grandchildren, Jonathan, Carolyn, Susan and Mark Butler and Matthew and Alexander Palmer.
Dorothy was born and raised in East City on Mark Street, the daughter of the late Arthur and Gladys Carpenter. She was the sister of the late Ralph Carpenter. After graduation, she began working at PCVS until having and raising her children. She then returned to working at Thomas A. Stewart in the Guidance Department.
Dorothy was a longtime member of St. Luke’s Anglican Church. She enjoyed singing in the choir, quilting with the ladies and knitting for bazaars. She will be truly missed by all her family and friends.
The Visitation will be at the St. Luke’s Anglican Church, 566 Armour Road, Peterborough on Saturday April 7th, from 12:00PM until a celebration of her life commences at 1 PM.
