GAROFALO, Mrs. Emma Lena (Nee Vizza)

Peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, June 6, 2019 in her 78th year.  Beloved wife of the late Carmine Garofalo (2012).  Loving mother of Gina (Tim Clarke), Rosetta (Ron Whetung), Santo (Allanna), Adriana (Matt Janssen) and Carmalina (Brian Fowler).  Cherished Nonna of Felicia, Brooklyn, Alexa, Vanessa, Celina, Matteo, Emma-Lynn, Miguel, Savanna, Sophia and Quinten.  Dear sister of Nardo Vizza (the late Rosina), Egidio Vizza, Anna Maria Mazzei (Gino), Ermanna Vizza, and Silvio Vizza (Anna). Predeceased by her parents Santo Vizza and Rosina Grecco,  her siblings  Mario Vizza, Lidia Stefani (Pio), Elio Vizza (Linda) and Rosina Mancuso.   Sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE 2510 Bensfort Rd., Peterborough, on Sunday, from 2:00-5:00 PM.  Funeral Mass will be held at SACRED HEART ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH 208 Romaine Street, Peterborough on Monday, June 10, 2019 at 11:00 AM.  Interment Rosemount Memorial Gardens.  Reception to follow at the Highland Park Funeral Centre.  In memory of Emma, donations to the PRHC Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated by the family.  Online condolences may be made at www.highlandparkfuneralcentre.com
