Ernest Joseph Allain

December 22, 1925 ~ May 13, 2019 (age 93)

ALLAIN, Ernest Joseph (Former Owner/Operator Peterborough Mobile Homes, Long time Employee of C.G.E., Canadian Army Veteran 1944-45): Peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre surrounded by his loving family on the Feast of St. Agnes, Monday, May 13, 2019 in his 94th year. Ernie, beloved husband of the late Agnes (nee Lowe d. 1975). Loving and devoted father of Rick (Jan), Catherine Sigler (Dan), Patricia Harman (Richard), Debra Orr (Dave), and Donna Perron (Russ). Cherished Grandfather of Kristi Allain, Kati Allain-Johnson (Ryan), Andrea Sigler, Jacob Sigler, Andrew Harman, Vanessa Harman (Zac), Anna Harman, Ashleigh McGee (Phil), Emily Begg (Brent), Matthew Perron, Phill Perron (Sarah), Sam Perron, and Sara-Ann Perron.  Great-grandfather of Rhys Johnson, Kohen Johnson, Avery Johnson, Eloise Harman-Key, Logan McGee, and Felix Perron. Son of the late John Allain and Sara Ann Cayouette. Ernie was the thirteenth of fifteen children and is survived by his sister Bella Doucette and sister-in-law Theresa Evans (Jack). Relatives and friends are invited to call at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road on Monday, May 20th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.  Funeral Mass in ST. ALPHONSUS CHURCH, 1066 Western Avenue, on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 10:00 am.  Interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery followed by a reception in Highland Park Reception Centre.
