Gerald Hugh Wood

WOOD, Gerald Hugh – While surrounded by his loving family, Gerald passed away peacefully at Springdale Country Manor on Monday, February 25, 2019 in his 92nd year. Beloved husband and best friend of Edna Wood (nee Grant) for 70 wonderful years.  Devoted and loving father of Charles Wood (Karen Peters), Donna Skuce (Cliff), Kevin Wood (Terri Gale), Judy Gallagher (Roy) and Nancy Jamieson (Charlie). Grandpa will forever be cherished and adored by his 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.  Dear brother of Jean Milburn and brother-in-law of Verla Musclow, Irma Bernier, Alice Roper, Florence Musclow, Ted Grant and Hilda Jepson. Predeceased by his parents Ross and Cecelia Wood (nee Lalonde) and siblings Elmer Wood, Lorraine Dafoe and Melvin Wood. Gerald will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his family and all who knew him. In keeping with Gerald’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a private family interment at Highland Park Cemetery in the spring.
