Ila "Sue" Mae (Rasch) Young

YOUNG, Ila Mae “Sue” (nee Rasch) – While surrounded by her loving family, Sue passed away peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, November 20th, 2018 at the age of 78. Sue is the beloved wife and best friend of Ivan Young for 52 years. Cherished and loving mother of Pam Struwing (Peter) and Bryan Young (Susan).  Adored grandmother of Alex, Chris and Adam Struwing. Dear sister of Alma Sorensen (the late Leif), Doreen Koch (John), the late Karen MacKay (Bob), the late Eric Rasch, Des Rasch (Elsbeth) and the late Joan Flindall (Neil) and sister-in-law of Clarence Young (Marjorie), Ray Young (Doreen), Carl Young (Mary), Stan Young and Linda Young. Sue will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, friends and especially her devoted dog “Lydia”. Sue was a member of the Royal Canadian Airforce for 5 years before marrying Ivan. In keeping with Sue’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of Sue’s life held on Sunday, December 16th, 2018 from 1:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M with Rev. Dr. Richard Boehme officiating a service at 2:00 P.M. at the Fowler’s Corners Lion’s Hall, 959 Meadowview Road, Omemee. Interment at Little Lake Cemetery to take place at a later date.
