SANDERSON, James Harvey Gardiner “Jim”

Jim Sanderson, aged 84, died Sunday, August 26th at home on the farm.  Jim will be missed dearly by his children Ian, Jennifer (Troy Farrell), Kathleen (Jim Marshall), Jamie and Crystal (Caroline Roy).  He leaves behind grandchildren Sarah, Jesse, Robbie, Kobe, Evan, Sacha and Scarlet. He is remembered fondly by nephew Ken Sanderson (Gabriela Rangel) and niece Laura Sanderson (Urban Hummel) and sister-in-law Marie Hope (Albert “Sonny” Prisque). Jim was predeceased by parents Clayton and Erminetta (Mina) and by his siblings George, Marie and Ralph.  Jim was born April 18th, 1934 in the same house where he died.  He operated the family dairy farm on Chemong Road for many years.  He said that he was lucky. Lucky to have been able to make a living farming and stay where he wanted until the end.  Lucky to have kind and generous lifelong friends. Special thanks to Vic Woodford (Diana) and cousin Frank Sanderson (Joan) for your friendship and companionship over the years.  As he said, “Things worked out for the best”. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date for the family. In memory of Jim, play your favourite Johnny Cash song, have a swig of maple syrup, and take a long ride on your tractor, if you have one.
