CRAIG, Jane Hazeldean (nee Dutton)
With sadness, we announce the passing of Jane Craig at the age of ninety. Jane was predeceased by first husband Alexander W. Craig and her brother Robert A Dutton. She is survived by her second husband Thomas E. Burke and step children Thomas (Christine), Colleen (Frank) and Tim. Jane is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jane lived a happy and full life with her first husband of forty seven years. Together they lived in Germany, France, Sardinia, New Brunswick and Ottawa before returning home to Peterborough. Once retired, they spent many days at the family cottage on Craig Island, Stoney Lake. After Alec passed, Jane went on to travel with her niece Cathy. They made three separate trips to Europe, covering multiple countries. In Jane’s words; “after waiting a respectable amount of time”. She went on to marry her second husband of fifteen years Thomas Burke. The happy couple also enjoyed some travelling with a trip to Las Vegas, Alantic City and some bus trips closer to home. Again in Jane’s words, “I was lucky to have two wonderful husbands”. A service followed by a reception will be held at HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE 2510 Bensfort Rd.
