HENSEN, John Adrian – Peacefully and surrounded by family at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Sunday, August 27th, 2017 in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Elaine (neé Schieck). Devoted father of Nicole Gidluck (Ian) of Airdrie, AB; Teralyn Hensen (Trevor Dunn) of St. Thomas, ON; and Shawn Hensen (Susan) of Newark, CA. Adored grandfather of Alex, Michael and Evan; Conor, Kyler, Evelyn and Brieanne; and Benjamin. Cherished brother of Paul (Debbie), Marg Vollick (Bob), Arnold, Patricia Buuck (Dave) and Michael (Ruta) and brother-in-law of Yvonne Carman (Rev. Tom), Jeannette Schieck (Bruce McKay), Jim Schieck (Annette), Don Schieck (Kaye), Elizabeth “Betty” Schieck, Catherine Schieck (Pat Rooyakkers), Marilyn Abraham (Murray) and Bob Schieck (Peggy). John is survived by his stepmother-in-law Barb Stewart-Schieck. Predeceased by his parents Lena (neé van der Heyden), Michel Hensen and stepmother Wilhelmina (neé Fuldner). John will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and cousins and sadly missed by all who knew him. In keeping with John`s wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to call on the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road, Peterborough, on Saturday, September 9th, 2017.
