John and Elaine were very active in curling at both the Windsor Curling Club and Kingsville Golf and Curling Club for several years before their move north. We have many fond memories of time spent with them, both on and off the ice and were pleased to maintain our friendship despite the distance in miles.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Elaine, Nicki, Teralyn, Shawn and their families.

We will be thinking of you especially on Saturday afternoon.

We were so saddened to hear of John's passing. I'm sure the memories of times you spent together as family will give you strength. John was a good friend to both of us and workmate with Martin. He had a tremendous capacity to get things done and take on more than his share of the burden. He was down to earth and had a great sense of humour that helped us share some laughter and get through those tiring times on the road. We shall remember him fondly.

Elaine and family, we will keep you in our hearts and prayers through this very difficult time. Garry and Ursela

I am very sorry to hear of John's passing. I had the pleasure of working with John for many years. It was 12 years ago this month that John and I spent 3 weeks in Atlanta training newly American adjusters to respond to Hurricane Katrina. Two Canadians in charge of a pretty challenging class. His high spirits and "roll up your sleeves' attitude made for a memorable time! My thoughts are with all of you as John leaves a big gap that can't be filled.

Dear Elaine:

I am still in shock over John's passing. Last we talked was at the final Caygeon League game in Fenelon in March.......he was so excited to be heading out to California and on to Hawai to see his daughter .

My deepest sympathies to you and your family. I will miss his competitve spirit at the curling rink as well.
