SLAVIK, John Albert: It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved John on Thursday, June 15, 2017 in his 60th year, at Peterborough Regional Health Centre with his loved ones at his side after a lengthy illness. John leaves his loving wife Gloria (Tapp), sons Brandon (Jordan) and Steve (Natalie), Andrew Scriver (Emily) and daughters Stefanie Scriver (John) and Adrienne Scriver, and adored grandchildren, Maddix, Blake, Gavin, and Riley. John is survived by his parents Jerry and Helen Slavik of Windsor, and brother of Carol, Patti, Mary (Steve), Brian (Sue) and Margaret, and uncle to Steven (Katie), Brooke, Wesley, Peter, Samantha and Lily. John will be forever remembered for his love of family life and for his creative talents, including his amazing wood-working skills. A Celebration of Life will be held at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road on Thursday, June 22nd from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. In memory of John, donations to MADD Canada would be appreciated by the family.
