John "Jack" Albert Martin

MARTIN, Jack: (Retired 43 year Employee C.G.E) Peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, June 6, 2019 in his 91st year. Jack, beloved husband of 63 years to Joan (nee Begley). Proud Dad of John (Gail O’Brien), Anne Harder (Ralph), Rick (Tina Bautista), Pat (Tracy Sutton), and Dan (Heather Holland). Papa to Jackie Martin, Christine Gallo (Loui), Janet (Jim), Johnny (Kayla); Jen May, Justin (Kristine), Lesley; Therese, Melissa; Brooke, Joey; Clayton (Caitlin), Cole. Old Papa to Justin, Loui, Maggie, Jake, Vince, Kieran, Dixon, Jack, Summer, Keegan, Nick, Cyler, and Corbin. Dear brother of Lil Crocker.  Predeceased by his brothers Fred, Bill, Tom, and sisters Ruth Ferguson, Freda Goddard, Bid Robertson, Dorothy Martin, and Lona Millen. Son of the late John Martin and Nina Doughty. Jack enjoyed his many years managing Minor Hockey and Lacrosse teams, he treasured 30 years of friendship and fun with Liftlock Atom Hockey Tournament and was awarded Life Membership as well as the Frank Lustic Award. Later in life he kept busy outdoors and hosting family gatherings. Relatives and friends will be received at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road on Monday, June 10th from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass in St. Anne’s Church on Tuesday, June 11th at 11:30 am. Reception to follow in St. Anne’s Parish Hall. Cremation with inurnment in St. Peter’s Cemetery at a later date.
