Randy Hie Obituary

HIE, Randy Everett

Passed away On Friday May 17th, 2019 in his 60th year. Son of the late Everritt and Donna Hie. Beloved husband of the late Joan (nee McFadden). Loving father to Jennifer Wodzak (Matthew Wodzak), Chris Hie, and Tyler Hie (Ashlynn White). Randy will be sadly missed by his lifetime partner Kathy Perry. Dear friend and mentor to Ryan Perry (Amber) and Curtis Perry (Amber). Cherished by his dog and companion Ginger.  Randy and his family loved all the great family moments they spent at their trailer years ago. Randy was an avid fisherman, he spent most of his free time either on the water, at the cottage on Pigeon Lake, or creating his own fishing rods and tackle. He was a lover of hockey, he taught both his boys how to play, and was the President of the Nationals for many years. A mechanic by trade, Randy worked many years at Buckham Transport, and the last 8 years as the Maintenance Manager for Archer Trucking. A private family graveside service will take place at Highland Park Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday June 1st, 2019 from 12:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M at the Peterborough Lions Community Centre, 347 Burnham St., Peterborough. In memory of Randy, Donations to the Ontario Wildlife Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.highlandparkfuneralcentre.com
