Richard "Terry" Terrance Sturgeon

STURGEON, Richard Terrance “Terry” – While surrounded by his loving family, Terry passed away peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, September 12th, 2018, in his 76th year. Terry, best friend and devoted husband to Elaine (nee Pomeroy) for 51 years. Best Dad ever to Karen Comtois (Steve) and Katherine Meade (Rob). Very proud ‘Papa’ & ‘Ninny’ to Megan, Natalie and Sam. Cherished twin brother to Ted (Lee). Dear brother-in-law to Eleanor Cavanagh (Brian) and Carole McLeod (Ted Hampton). Much loved by several nieces and nephews. Terry is predeceased by his parents Edward and Anna Marie (nee Wilson). He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. In keeping with Terry’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends and family are invited to a “Celebration of Life” reception at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road, on Tuesday, September 18th, 2018 from 12:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. with Eulogies at 1:00 P.M. There will be a private family interment at Little Lake Cemetery. Terry’s family wish to encourage people to donate blood or make a donation to the Riverview Park & Zoo or the Lakefield Animal Welfare Society in his memory.
