KEARNS, Robert John Alexander

(November 11, 1941 - April 11, 2018)


Passed away peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 in his 77th year. Loving father of Karen Edith (Lynne), and Robert Lloyd. Proud grandfather of Cody, Dakota and Sierra. Predeceased by his parents Melville and Edith (nee Alexander) Kearns. Survived by his siblings Richard (Arlene), Jeanne Scriver (Bruce) and Randy (Susan); and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Long-time employee of CGE, member of William James Dunlop Lodge (Masonic Lodge), active member of Peterborough Amateur Radio Club and ARES. Special thanks to Dr. M. Gibson, Dr. Matheson, Dr. Ragaz (Retired), Dr. Hanson, Dr. Krawzanowska and the GI Team at Princess Margaret, D-2 Palliative Care Team at PRHC, CCAC, nurse Brian and Co-ordinator Leanne Preston, Applewood Retirement Home (especially Jennifer, Lori and Kelsey) and the Canadian Cancer Society. Memorial Visitation will take place at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road, on Sunday April 15th, 2018 from 1:00 P.M. until the time of Memorial Service at 2:00 P.M. Reception in the Highland Park Reception Centre to follow. If desired donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation or the PRHC Foundation (Palliative Care Unit) can be made, along with condolences to the family through
