It is with a sense of deep sorrow that the family of Sharon Sybol Calder (nee Stroud) announce her sudden passing at Peterborough Regional Health Centre in Peterborough on Friday, November 10, 2017 following a brief illness.
Sharon is predeceased by her beloved husband Charles Frederick Calder (1998) and precious daughter Janis (Doug) Lukinuk (2017) and is now survived by two beloved sons Brian and Blair (Sue) Calder both of Peterborough. She is also survived by four very special grandchildren: Kayne and Khloe Calder and Jacob and Ben Lukinuk.
Sharon was born on July 13, 1942 in Lindsay as the third youngest child of Frederick and Doris Stroud (predeceased 1970 and 1989) and is predeceased by her elder brother Jack Stroud (2003) and younger brother David Stroud (2017). She is also predeceased by sisters Elaine Dunn/Cooke (2014), Christine Houghton (2001), Carol Taylor (1995), and Yvonne MacDonald (1976). She is also survived by three sisters namely Ruth (Bill) Fenton, Alice Stroud, and Pauline (Doug) Fenton and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life in the Chapel of Highland Park Funeral Centre, 2510 Bensfort Road, on Tuesday, November 28th, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow. Interment to take place at Eden Church Cemetery in Cambray in Spring 2018. In memory of Sharon, donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
