GORDON, Thomas Arthur “Art”( Long time Fitter Welder C.G.E.)Peacefully, with his family by his side, after a courageous two year battle with cancer at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Monday, October 1, 2018 in his 86th year. Art, beloved husband of 64 years to Shirley (nee McQuaig). Loving and devoted father of Jane Hall (Randy), Dale Gordon, and Scott who passed away in 2011. Cherished grandfather of Dana (Marianne), Sam (Victoria), and Lexus, and great grandfather of Caleb, and Benjamin. Dear father-in-law of Shari Gordon. Survived by his brothers Mac (Mildred), Bob (Marie), sisters Barbara Roberts (Ken, predeceased), Shirley Eby (Peter, predeceased), June Collins (Ron), and brother-in-law Dave Ridley (Lois, predeceased)). Predeceased by his brother Jack, and sister Norma MacPhail (George). Son of the late Thomas Gordon and Elizabeth Bolton. We would like to thank Dr. Richard and Dr. Gibson for their sensitive and caring attitude in helping Art cope with his illness. Also a thank you to St. Elizabeth nurses Tanya and Tannis as well as the Palliative Care nurses at PRHC. A Private Family Graveside Service will take place in Little Lake Cemetery. A Public Celebration of Life Reception will take place at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 2:30 to 4:30 pm.
