Tresa Freeburn Obituary

FREEBURN, Tresa Mae (nee Moore) - Tresa's journey on earth ended peacefully on Thursday, May 2, 2019, while surrounded by the love of her children and grandchildren. Born May 6, 1930, Tresa was the only child of Peanut (Allen) and Gwen Moore of Warsaw, Ontario.  In 1950 she married Ken Freeburn (predeceased). Tresa was a devoted and cherished mother to 7 children: Wayne (Brenda), Shirrill (Guy), Debbie (Moose), Craig (Maureen), Randy (Paula), Lorri (Terry) and Marty (Debbie); proud grandmother to 12 wonderful grandchildren; and cherished great-grandmother to 10 beautiful great-grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her family, friends and her beloved and precious dog Tiffany. Tresa committed her life to her children and always reminded them how they were her greatest joy. Her friends were her second greatest joy in life. She possessed an amazing ability to make everyone she met feel respected, valued and appreciated. If you met Tresa, you knew you would like to be her friend immediately. Her incredible sense of humour and quick wit would often lead to tears of laughter. Tresa’s enduring spirit leaves her family with an amazing legacy of strength, humility, hope and love. Tresa’s family wish to thank the amazing staff at Regency Retirement in Lakefield, Nicole Richardson (Saint Elizabeth Healthcare), Dr. Mallory, and Dr. Hassan for all their wonderful care and compassion. In keeping with Tresa’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a private family interment at St. Mark’s Anglican Cemetery in Warsaw. If desired, memorial contributions to the Peterborough Humane Society would be appreciated and can be made; along with expressions of condolence, at www.highlandparkfuneralcentre.com
