Peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 in his 88th year.  Beloved husband of Irene (nee Clark).  Loving father of Doug his wife Joanne, Catherine Plue and her husband Bob, and Bill Jr. and his wife Anna.  Cherished grandfather of Shannon, the late Zac,Jacob, Siobhan, Sabrina,Serena, Ryan and Heather and great grandfather of Isiah, Paul,Declan , Sadira and Atticus. Predeceased by his parents William and Elizabeth Stewart.  Friends will be received at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE 2510 Bensfort Rd., on Tuesday, Oct 9, 2018 from 12:00 to 1:00PM.  Funeral Mass will be held at the CATHEDRAL OF ST. PETER-IN-CHAINS 411 Reid Street, Peterborough at 1:30 PM.  Cremation to Follow.  Reception will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall following the Funeral Mass.  In memory of Bill, donations to Sick Kids Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
