Born on April 3rd, 1993 Alex and Nathan-Terry were one of three sets of twins born on the same day at Civic Hospital, making the local newspaper headlines. He spent many happy years growing up in Ennismore, Ontario and attending St. Martins elementary school. Alex enjoyed playing soccer, camping at Silent Lake Provincial Park, and challenging his siblings to a game on the Super Nintendo. Alex moved to Peterborough in his teenage years attending St. Theresa’s and St. Peters Catholic Secondary Schools.

Alex had lived with schizophrenia in his adult life since 2008. It was a difficult and challenging life for him at times. Despite his adversities, his character always remained. Alex was incredibly kind, thoughtful and appreciative. In his adult years Alex had a passion for meditation, wellness and positive psychology. One of his favourite pastimes was walking. When not going for his daily walks, you could find Alex developing apps on his computer or playing videogames- a longtime hobby of his.

Family of Alex would like to thank the support and dedication of various community agencies who played a vital role in Alex’s journey including Brock Street Mission, Peterborough Public Library, Dr. Chawla, Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) staff, Four Cast workers, Peterborough Regional Health Care Centre (PRHC) and Ross Memorial Hospital.
