Anna (Schneider) Procyk

Anna passed away peacefully on November 26th, 2024 in Peterborough Regional Health Centre, having lived to the amazing age of 95. Anna is survived by her sons Pete (Karen), John (Deb), grandchildren Mike (Becca), Alex (Jessie), Rory (Kaleigh), Jinny, and great granddaughter Genevieve.

Anna is predeceased by her husband Peter, parents Gotthelf & Paula Schneider and her five sisters Ruth, Hildegard, Gertrude, Lotte and Ilsa.

Peter and Anna were wonderful dancers and spent many weekends circling the dance floors in Germany, and later in the mining communities in Ontario, where they resided for many years. She carried on her love of music, as family could find her dancing to Abba in her living room, or by the stove where she enjoyed cooking and hosting. Everybody enjoyed Anna’s meals and her legacy will live on with the amazing recipes she has left behind.

She will be remembered for her pure joy of shopping, and enjoying a coffee or a meal afterward surrounded by her family. 

A celebration of life will take place later in the spring. Donations in honour of Anna can be made to Peterborough Regional Health Centre, or a charity of your choice.
