EBERLE, Anne Bernadette (nee Doherty)
Peacefully, with her family by her side, on Sunday, September 13, 2026, in her 78th year.
Beloved wife of Robert “Bob” Eberle for 43 years. Loving mother of Kevin MacBean, Robert Eberle and his wife, the late Angela Poland, and Shannon Eberle. Stepmother to Jeff Eberle and his partner Stephanie, Jodi Eberle and her husband Bill, and Chris Gonzalas and her husband Will.
Cherished grandmother of Austin, Evan, Taylor, Kora, Madison, Kristien, Darian, Quinn, Jaxon and Kyra, and great-grandmother of Summer. Dear sister of Winnifred Doherty (Bill), Kathleen Moroni, Margaret Doherty-Gilbert (Dave) and Caroline Norton (Al). Anne will also be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews.
Anne was many things to the people who loved her — a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, but above all, she was simply Anne.
She had a sarcastic sense of humor, a quick wit and a way of stirring things up that could make you laugh even when you probably shouldn't. Her laugh was infectious with the notable gasp and reminder for her to breathe as she was laughing so hard. She was, as her family would lovingly say, a bit of a shit disturber — and she wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
Anne loved fiercely and without hesitation. She adored her husband Bob, loved her children and grandsons beyond words, and were truly her light. She had a special place in her heart for her family and treasured the time she spent surrounded by the people she loved. Including her fur grandchildren Lola and Eden.
Anne was also incredibly talented. She loved to knit and could create the most beautiful things with her own hands. Her creativity, kindness and generous heart were just a few of the many things that made her so special.
Beautiful inside and out, Anne was loved by so many. She had a way of making people feel welcome, and her laughter, humor and unmistakable personality will be deeply missed.
Anne was predeceased by her parents, Barney Doherty and Annie Faulkner.
She leaves behind a family who will carry her love, her stories, her humor and her spirit with them always. The world will be a little quieter without her in it, but it will never be without the mark she left on all of us.
At Anne’s request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at DISH PLAY, 12 Stanley Crt Unit 1, Whitby, ON from 12:00 -4:00 PM. In memory of Anne, and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or SickKids Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the PSWs and Nursing staff at Thorntonview Long Term Care, Pinegrove Unit, for the excellent care, compassion and kindness they showed Anne over the last nine months.
She was a wife, a mother, a grandmother. Our Hero.
And she will always be a part of us.
