LAINE, Annie (nee Grubisich)
Passed peacefully on Friday August 5, 2022 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre surrounded by her family at the age of 95. Dear daughter of the late Ernest and Jenny Grubisich. Beloved wife of the late Mauri Laine. Loving mother of Brian Laine (Karin) and Susan Laine (Karen). Cherished grandmother of Heather (Jason) and Kristin. Loving great-grandmother of Adria and Claire. Predeceased by sister Ernesta Bosanac, brother Bran Grubisich and nephew Tom Bosanac. Fondly remembered by nieces Rosanne(Jim) and Brenda (Ed).
She enjoyed the simple things in life, cleaning,baking, and cooking her famous delicious dinners to share with her family. Shopping and just browsing and stopping for a muffin or burger with her loved ones made her day!
 A big thank-you to all the doctors, nurses and health care workers at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre for the loving care, patience, understanding and kindness during her stay.
Sincere thanks to Dr. Neville and all the staff at Applewood Retirement Residence for their care and support over the past seven years especially during COVID.
She will be truly missed by her friends and family but will remain in our hearts forever! Angels hold you tight!
Cremation has taken place.
Graveside service at Burlington Memorial Gardens at a later date.
