Arlene Joyce Warren (nee Mitchell)

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Mom and Gran, Arlene Warren. She passed away peacefully on June 19th, 2025 with her family by her side, leaving a void in our hearts that can never be filled. Pre-deceased by her loving husband Larry Warren and son Glen. Arlene leaves behind her sons, Mike (Debbie pre-deceased), Larry (Donna pre deceased) (Lisa)as well as her daughter in-law, Judy (Richard). Her greatest treasures, her grandchildren – Krista, Kyle, Renee, Hayley, Lisa and Mitchell– and her great-grandchildren – Brody, Kali, Jacob, Olivia, Brianna, and Chloe who will remember her as the most fun and loving Gran one could imagine. Her Nieces and Nephews Grant and Greg will fondly remember her as “the cool aunt”! She was truly an extraordinary mother, grandmother, Aunt and friend who filled our days with warmth, love and stories.

Arlene cherished her time by the lake at the cottage and in the boat. She enjoyed the company of horses, chippies and any wild life she could train. The memories of cheating in endless games of snap and no matter what rock she was given she carried them through life. She devoted herself to caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her selflessness and unconditional love for everyone around her made her a remarkable person.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Ross Memorial Hospital for the compassionate care they provided during her last days. Their support made her transition much more bearable.

A Celebration of life reception for Arlene will be held at HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road, Peterborough, on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers Arlene requested donations be made in memory of her to the Hospital for Sick Children in support of her great-granddaughter, Olivia.

Arlene’s last message to us all was simple yet profound: "I love you all to the moon and back, all the best in your life ahead." We carry her love with us as we cherish the memories of a wonderful woman
