It is with heavy hearts, yet comforted by the thought that she is reunited with the love of her life, that we share the passing of Barbara Jeanne “Barbie” Werry (née Guppy) on March 11, 2025, at the age of 75. Just one month after losing her beloved Glenn, Barbie’s courageous fight came to an end at Hospice Peterborough as she found peace in his arms once again.

Born on April 8, 1949, Barbie was a woman of warmth, strength, and unwavering love for her family. For 54 beautiful years, she was the devoted wife of Glenn Werry, building a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Their bond was unbreakable, and now they are together once more.

Barbie was the loving and proud mother to Kimberly Paulson (Floyd) and Kelly Westlake (Gabriel). She was also the cherished mother-in-law to the late Scott Paulson and Shawn Westlake (surviving). Her greatest joy in life was being the Nana to her adored grandchildren: Brooklyn, Dawson, and David, who will forever hold her love and warmth in their hearts.

She was also a dear sister to Carole Ayotte (Peter) and Jim Guppy (the late Gloria). Barbie was also a beloved sister-in-law to Anne Emmerson (Monty), Ewart Werry, and is now reunited with her late brothers-in-law Edgar Werry (Clare, surviving) and John Werry. She will be deeply missed by her extended family, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, for Glenn and Barbie from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Highland Park Funeral Centre, 2510 Bensfort Rd., Peterborough, with words of remembrance at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbie’s memory can be made to Baskets of Hope (contact Kelly Westlake). Online condolences may be shared at www.highlandparkfuneralcentre.com.

Barbie’s love, kindness, and strength will forever live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. Now, she rests peacefully with Glenn, together forever.
