Benjamin McKenzie

Surrounded by love, Ben passed away peacefully at Hospice Peterborough on Monday, March 10th, 2025, in his 87th year. Beloved husband of the late Catherine (nee Nixon) (August 2024). Loving and devoted father of Benjamin James, Deborah Janet Lonsberry (Duane Michael) and Stewart William. Proud grandfather of Benjamin William McKenzie, Kyle William Lonsberry and Gavin Michael Lonsberry, and soon-to-be great-grandfather. Cherished brother of the late Stewart McKenzie (Lois), and brother-in-law of William Nixon (Anne). Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. Ben had his own way of looking after those he loved and cared for, which was memorable for those who knew him. His sense of humour, often accompanied by a cheeky smile, was well known by his family, friends and golf cronies. In keeping with Ben’s wishes, cremation has taken place. He will be interred with his beloved wife at Rosemount Memorial Gardens.
