HAGGARTY, Betty Acilene (nee Smith) Long-time employee of Simpson Sears

Peacefully at Lakefield Extendicare on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 in her 99th year.  Beloved wife of the late Carl Haggarty.  Loving mother of Brenda Brockley and her husband Barry, and Barry Haggarty and his wife Sue.  Cherished grandmother of Michael Brockley and his wife Ashley, Jennifer Brockley, Adam Haggarty and his wife Kate and Brett Haggarty, and great grandmother of Hope and Mara.  Predeceased by her sisters Myrtle Root and Beulah Smith.  There will be a Celebration of Betty’s Life Held at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE 2510 Bensfort Rd., Peterborough on Monday, October 6, 2025 at 1:00 PM.  Interment Highland Park Cemetery.  Reception to follow in the Highland Park Reception Centre.  In memory of Betty and in lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.  Online condolences may be made at www.highlandparkfuneralcentre.com
