MCKENZIE, Beverley Mae “Bev”

Bev passed away on May 17th 2021 at the age of 72, after a long fight with cancer.  Bev’s final days were spent surrounded by her loving husband of 55 years, Milton, and her 4 beautiful daughters, Beverley Smith, Andrea Lamm, Jeanette McKenzie-Duncan, Samantha MacDonald, and of course her fur baby Hombre.  Bev was a grandmother to 12 and great grandmother to 4, and blessed to have a large circle of extended family and friends.  Bev enjoyed being surrounded by her loved ones and attending every family event, no matter how big or small.  From the early days of watching Milton play, to attending music festivals with her girls, you could find that music lover on the dance floor or singing along.  Bev loved the water whether it was swimming, boating, or enjoying a campfire from the shore.  She had a keen sense of design and it showed throughout her home and wardrobe.  She loved to travel, whether it was to a beach in Mexico or a tour alongside Milton on their Harleys.  Bev will be remembered as a kind-hearted soul who opened her arms to everyone, had a contagious laugh, and who was not afraid to try anything new.  She will be missed dearly by many. Please keep Bev’s family and friends in your thoughts.  A private family interment took place at Little Lake Cemetery.  There will be a Celebration of Bev’s Life held when Covid restrictions allow for it.  In memory of Bev and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE 2510 Bensfort Rd., Peterborough.  Online condolences may be made at www.highlandparkfuneralcentre.com
