Suddenly and peacefully at home on Thursday May 15th, 2025 in her 70th year. Beloved wife of Doug McCulloch for 38 years. Loving mother of Matthew (Felicia) and Jessie (Anson) and fur baby Maggie Mae. Cherished grandmother of Treyson McCulloch. Dear sister of Barbie Atchison (Cam), Robert Hewitt, and the late Beverly. Predeceased by her parents Howard Hewitt and Theresa (nee Handley). Daughter-in-law of Sally Mongraw. Dear sister in law of Joanne (Shane) and Lindsey (John). Devoted aunt of Brett, Caitlin, Brady, Taylor, Conor, Erin, Andrew and Sydney.
Brenda was a one of a kind woman. Small in stature but big at heart, she marched to the beat of her own drum. Lover of all things cozy and bright, she found joy in the simple things and made everyone around her feel her warmth and love. Her career paths spanned from film sound editor to highschool cafeteria lady, but her most beloved role was being a mother to her two children who she loved fiercely and unconditionally. Brenda's passing will leave a hole in the hearts of all who knew her, but we will continue to honour her by being good, kind, compassionate humans and unapologetic of who we are.
There will be a celebration of life held at the ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION Branch #52 1550 Lansdowne Street West on Friday June 27th from 5-9pm. In honour of Brenda and her unique style, we ask that you wear your brightest colours and funkiest patterns. Fuzzy socks and Canadian tuxedos are also encouraged.  In memory of Brenda and in lieu of flowers, we ask that you pay it forward and buy someone one of her beloved Tim Horton's coffees and offer a kind word.
