It is with great sadness that we share the sudden passing of Brian O’Brien, lovingly known as “Farmer”, at the age of 68 on May 25, 2025. Beloved husband of Anne-Marie (nee Murray) for 47 years. Loving father of Chelsea O’Brien (Gonzalo Briceño), Jacqueline O’Brien, and Mack O’Brien (Sarah). Cherished Papa of Eldon and Owen. Dear brother of Mary-Jane Delong (the late Peter), Maureen Arnaud (Tim), Terry O’Brien (Maria) and brother-in-law of Chrissy Ogilvie (Mitchell). Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents John O’Brien and Josephine (nee Collins). Growing up in Peterborough, Farmer was heavily involved in the community and will be lovingly missed by his many friends from lacrosse, hockey, baseball, Knights of Columbus and Quaker Oats (38 years). We will miss seeing Farm around the rink and the diamond. In true Farmer fashion, an Irish wake will be held to celebrate his remarkable life at the KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS (Bishop Doyle Hall) 317 Hunter Street West, Peterborough, on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 2:00-6:00 PM. Memories of Farmer to be shared at 3 PM.  In memory of Farm and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
