Just hours before her 85th birthday, mom passed away at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on December 10, 2018.  She leaves behind her children Holly Gibson (Doug), Robin Kayser (David),  and Philip Morris, her grandchildren Courtney McArthur (Mark),Kylie Gibson, Riley Kayser (Amy), Simon Kayser (Aimee), Jennifer Morris (Joey Benoit), and Jason Morris.  Mom loved her great grands who affectionately called her “Howie”, Skylar and Taylor McArthur, Daniel Gibson, Benjamin and Jacob Kayser and Saylour and Parker Benoit.  She was a consummate traveller from Iceland to Antarctica, from Africa to Costa Rico.  Yet her favorite destination always remained “Down Home” in her beloved Nova Scotia.  Mom was an exceptional knitter, a green thumb gardener, an avid reader and a supplier of homemade chicken soup with hot biscuits to family and friends.  Mom is survived by her sisters Margo Winters (Reg), and Dawne Dainard and will be missed by her dear friends Jean and Bob Smith and Joyce Corner.  The family will have a private service with a celebration of mom’s life to follow at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, a random act of kindness would be appreciated.  Online condolences may be made at www.highlandparkfuneralcentre.com
