CLANCY, Mrs. Catherine “Marie” ( nee Doherty) (60 year member of the Catholic Women’s League St. Martin of Tours , Ennismore)

Peacefully with her family by her side at St. Joseph’s at Fleming on Friday, January 18, 2019 in her 90th year.  Beloved wife of the late Joseph Clancy.  Loving mother of Colleen Hickey (Peter), Marlene Blackbourn (Robert), Rose Marie Prentice (John) and Patricia Lowe (Bryan Taylor).  Cherished grandmother of Jeff Hickey, Terrance Hickey (Vicki Sweetman), Chris Blackbourn (the late Anita), Nicole Silvestri (Marty), Sarah Tanner (Marc), Adam Dafoe, Adam Prentice, Matthew Prentice (Jennette), Justin Lowe (Julie), Joseph Lowe, Jared Lowe, and great grandmother of 13.  Dear sister of Helen Tackaberry (Leonard), Rita Allen (William), Bernadette Guyatt (Paul), and Jerry Doherty (Dianne). Predeceased by her parents Jeremiah Doherty and Mary Convey and her siblings Vincent Doherty (Rose surviving), Teresa Walsh (Joseph surviving), Winnifred Delaney (Jack Surviving) and Bernard Doherty and her second husband John Clancy.  Marie will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE 2510 Bensfort Rd., on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM.  Funeral Mass will be held at SACRED HEART ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH (Romaine Street) on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 10:30 AM.  Reception to follow in the church hall.  Interment will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery (Hastings, ON).  In memory of Marie, donations to the Peterborough Hospice would be appreciated by the family.  Online condolences may be made at www.highlandparkfuneralcentre.com
