Cheryl 'Tish' Ann (Ryan) Tilson

Cheryl Ann Tilson, better known as Tish, 62, of Norwood, Ontario, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 31, 2026, in the wonderful care of Peterborough Hospice.

Tish was born on July 29, 1964, in Toronto, Ontario, to Mary Ann and James Ryan. She grew up alongside her brother, Daryl Ryan. On November 9, 1991, she married Robert Tilson, and together they built a loving family with their two daughters, Tiffany and Jenna.

Tish most recently worked at Lansdowne Place Mall in Peterborough, where she was beloved by her coworkers and a favourite among customers. Her bright personality, friendly nature, and ability to make people feel welcome will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

A sports lover through and through, Tish was a devoted fan of the Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Lions, Peterborough Petes, and Toronto Blue Jays. Many of her winters were spent in hockey rinks across Ontario, proudly watching her daughters play hockey. In the summertime, she looked forward to relaxing and making memories at the family cottage.

Tish was a bright, kind, and friendly woman who brought warmth and laughter wherever she went. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, coworkers, and all those whose lives she touched.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Highland Park Funeral Centre on September 25, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Peterborough would be greatly appreciated. Tish and her family were incredibly grateful for the compassionate care and support provided by the hospice team during her final days.
