Dad said recently, he was looking forward; “to the next world” and on March 9, 2025, at the age of 88, Clare William Harrington was granted his wish. Surrounded by his family, he peacefully passed away to reunite with his wife, Rosemary, who predeceased him in 2017. Clare faced a long and challenging health journey in his final years. While we are grateful for the time we shared, we find comfort knowing that he can now rest in peace. He will forever be loved and remembered by his children, Sherry Lynn Harrington (Neil Gerrard) and Brad Harrington (Wanda) and his grandchildren, Ryan and Erin Gerrard. Brother of Elinor Fitzgerald*, Jack (Theresa), Madeline Thompson*, Marion O'Grady and Norma Guerin. Also, Rosemary’s family, especially Brenda Weeks, Cathy Tovey, Erik Weeks (Leah) and Krista Weeks who have provided him with unwavering love and support throughout the years. Clare will also be deeply missed by his many friends. Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass which will be held at ST ALPHONSUS LIGUORI ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1066 Western Avenue Peterborough on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Reception to Follow in the Church Hall. In memory of Clare and in lieu of flowers, a donation may be directed to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Kidney Foundation or a charity of your choice.
