It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Cynthia Wilhelmina Kamaladevi Samuel (nee Sunderampillai)–age 82–on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at the Peterborough Regional Healthcare Center.
Cynthia was the beloved wife of Balendiran for 57 years, the devoted loving mother to Christine (Satheesh) Kathiravelu, Helen Samuel (Arindran Devaprasad), and Harold (Sara) Samuel and the treasured grandmother of Shaylene, Joshua, Matthew, Isabella, Savannah, and Isaiah.
She was the cherished daughter of the late Elizabeth and Daniel Sunderampillai. A dear sister to Winston (Malar), Beatrice (late Dharmendran), Vivian, late Franklin (Yoges), late Logan, and Gladis (Chandran). A caring sister-in-law of Rajadevi (Satchi) and Vijendran (Margaret), and predeceased by Rajendran (late Mary) and Jayendran (Premina). Kamala will be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, and all who knew and loved her.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have been graced with her quiet loving nature. Her incredible strength, selfless love, and unwavering faith were the foundation of our family. She will be remembered for how she lived and the profound impact she had on all those who knew her. We shall carry forth the legacy of love and faith she has left with us.
